Brookdale Senior Living (NYSE: BKD) President of Senior Living Operations, Cindy Kent, is resigning from the company.
His departure, effective October 1, 2021, was announced in an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday evening. She leaves to pursue another opportunity outside of the senior living industry.
Kent, a former 3M executive and Best Buy board member, joined the Brentwood, Tennessee-based retirement home operator in January 2020 as executive vice president and president of operations. residence for the elderly, a new role within the company. Kent served on the board of electronics retailer Best Buy from September 2018 to June 2020, during which time the company made breakthroughs in healthcare technology, launching Best Buy Health and spending nearly a billion dollars to develop the commercial segment. In particular, Best Buy’s GreatCall product line is already used by some senior living providers.
In July 2021, Kent was appointed to the board of Accolade (Nasdaq:ACCD), a Seattle-based provider of cloud-based health and wellness benefit solutions.
